Director of Bands - Brett Robinson
Brett Robinson is currently in his eleventh year as the Director of Bands at Barron Collier High School. His current responsibilities include the BCHS Jazz Band, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Percussion and Auxiliary Class, B.C. Blue! and the BCHS Marching Cougars. Bands under his direction have consistently earned Superior ratings and have been awarded numerous honors in concert and marching events. Highlights include 26 Superior District concert band ratings, 17 Grand Champion marching band trophies, 2023 FMBC Class 1A State Runner Up, 2022 FMBC Class 1A State Runner Up, 2021 FMBC Class 1A State Finalist, 2019 FMBC Class 1A State Finalist (3rd Place), 2007 FMBC Class 3A State Finalist (4th Place), The 2006 FMBC Class 3A State Marching Band Championship, 2014 OIPA SRA Indoor Guard State Champion, 2002 and 2004 appearances at the Grand National Adjudicator’s Invitational in Chattanooga, Tn. (Walter E. Stebbins HS) and FBA State Superior Concert Band MPA ratings in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2019, 2018, 2015 (Barron Collier HS), and OMEA State Superior Concert Band ratings in 2014 (Firestone HS), 2008 (Warren Local HS) 2006, 2005, 2002 and 2000 (Walter E. Stebbins HS).
Mr. Robinson has been a guest conductor, clinician and FBA/OMEA Large Group and Solo & Ensemble Adjudicator and is a member of FBA, OMEA and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. His drum corps experience includes three years (1988-90) with the Limited Edition Drum and Bugle Corps from Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Robinson is a native of Greenfield, Ohio and received his B.M.E. in 1995 from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Mr. Robinson currently resides in Naples, Florida with his wife Annabelle Robinson who is the Director of Bands at Palmetto Ridge HS (www.prhsbands.org).
